So 345 (effing) posts in to this thing with no contact from indie ever; i want whoever turns up here to try and get the group sunnydayinglasgow( Myspace) on to the show when they are in LA . ( Jun 24 2007 Pehrspace Los Angeles, California ) never heard them but the name is great. This message will repeat at annoying frequency from now on. Just like the people who ask for show recordings but dont leave contact info.
and there really is more to read;
"(From the All Music Guide:)
Fronted by identical twin sisters Lauren and Robin Daniels and masterminded by their brother Ben, A Sunny Day in Glasgow have made a name for themselves with synth-laden pop songs reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine or the Jesus and Mary Chain. Ben Daniels started making cassette recordings with the help of his friend Ever Nalens years before A Sunny Day in Glasgow got together. Nalens moved to Glasgow from 2002 to 2004 in order to go to art school, and Daniels moved to London about a year later. They started collaborating again after Ben returned in the summer of 2005, but Nalens abandoned the project after a couple months. Daniels continued to write songs, asking his sister Robin to take over the vocals. Lauren was brought in as a vocalist a few months later, nd the group started recording tracks in Ben's West Philadelphia apartment and at their parents' ouse in the suburbs.
They put some of the tracks together and released them as an EP, called The Sunniest Day Ever, in March 2006. They didn't expect anything to come of it, so they were pleasantly surprised when the EP charted at number one on New York's WNYU and started getting radio play on at least a dozen college radio stations. Their songs started bouncing around online, bloggers began to take notice, and soon enough Pitchfork gave the first track on their EP, "C'mon," a four-star rating. Labels started to pay attention, and the group snagged a record deal with Notenuf Records in October 2006. Their first full-length record consists of tracks recorded between January and August of 2006, and is scheduled for release in February 2007."

On the radio
I’m set to appear tomorrow on “Jonesy’s Jukebox,” the radio show hosted by ex-Sex Pistols codger-freak Steve Jones. I’ll be one of three “guest jurors” on a two-hour segment in which he’ll play songs and we decide if said songs are “pants” (bad) or “mustard” (good). Not sure what’s up with the pants or the mustard or why I was asked to appear—must be my gig as music consultant on the Showtime series “Weeds.” Show airs Friday May 10 on Indie 103.1 FM from 12-2 pm with a rebroadcast from 6-8 pm.
