"I want to thank everybody for listening to the show and supporting the station," says JONES. "It was an experience I truly enjoyed and the support I got from my fans and artists who came on the show was just incredible. I'd like to think we broke some rules and that everyone had a bloody good time. Thanks for listening."

UPDATE: I was scheduled to be on Jonesy's Jukebox again tomorrow (I now have the dubious distinction of being one of the final judges on last week's Jukebox Jury panel), and just received notification that my appearance has been canceled, which leads me to wonder whether Jonesy's Jukebox will remain as part of the Internet broadcast or whether Jonesy's not remaining with the station. Thusfar I've not gotten an answer to my query.

UPDATE #2: No Jonesy on the Internet, either. Apparently there will be no DJs on the online version of Indie 103.1. Indie's groundbreaking format is, in effect, dead.

Hey the Steve Jones posters are still there

Lemmy had made it in

There were some pictures here but they seem to have been removed from twitpic. Tedd ????

interesting !!!

.. and then Indie was gone

Thursday , January 15th , 2008 . 5 years , 3 weeks.

So long and thanks for all the fish !!!

( though they are broadcasting a message saying that they will continue over the internet. Whatever that means for shows and personalities. )

At least Steve wont have to drive to Sundance next week.

Sad thing is the mix they are playing just now as the format changes is the great music that the station moved away from playing over the years and had made them important in the first place.

Bye

"The Pontiff will be playing an EXCLUSIVE new track from a big... big... star. Who is it? Find out Thursday on Jonesy's Jukebox - Noon - 2PM. Listen live right here.

Seriously. You can ONLY here it here. Nowhere else... NOWHERE, I TELL YOU!"

"December 17th, 2008 at 6:55 pm

Sorry if this is not the correct place to post an announcement but the site does not allow me access to any other place to post. Just wanted to alert Prince fans in L.A. that brand new music from Prince will be played tomorrow on Indie 103.1 on Jonesy’s Jukebox starting at 12 noon. You will hear three new songs. We will then pick one to put in regular rotation. Please spread the word to the fans. If anyone wants to email me directly my name is Max Tolkoff and the address is mtolkoff@entravision.com"
