"Well, comedians are manic-depressive," Gary observed. They didn't have Prozac, etc in those days, "all they had was Johnnie Walker," Steve commented. Gary talked about how he liked doing "JFK" but wasn't too keen on doing "Sid & Nancy" til he found out they would pay him $35,000.

Steve uses a tar-smelling dandruff shampoo. He doesn't have dandruff though. So Nancy smells his hair. "Smells good." she sez. "I haven't washed it in two weeks!" Jonesy replies. Steve played Sid's version of "My Way", which Nancy had never heard before.

Steve added, finishing up the familiar joke about musicians & strippers.(No, the winner was not a stripper, they were just joking.)

Today Jonesy complained about tip jars at coffee bars. "It's the owners' fault for not paying good wages and the consumer has to make up for it." he says. He also prefers "separate beds" after a tryst. "I don't like sleeping with someone else. The bird's always moving around, burping, farting.." "What kind of girls do you go out with?" Mr. Shovel asked, bemused. "And then around three a.m. I get up and go to the couch and the bird is all offended. 'Why won't you sleep next to me?'"
