Now here is my reply ( emailed as well );
"Yeah, I am not sure what had happened with Stacy.
I heard a show where she was at the Beach Ball in Newport Beach( Sally who i know was throwing ice :-) ) then soon after that you never hear her on the show.
They still mention her but more as background and she is still on the banner for the morning show.
I assumed she was on vacation but that seems to have gone on far too long.
The morning show is now;Talk about whats coming up in the news, do some ads, do the news then repeat. Maybe replay the sports report.
So sad what they threw away. I now know from some friends that Joe Escalante isnt that bad of a person but they had a better show and gave it away."
Oh yeah. I am dying to know what people phone up and shout at Joe about. He never records/replays them ( i only listen after about 9 am now and dont record anything earlier as i used to do ) . Time to give it up . "The wars over, man." He actually does play surprising music sometimes. It sounds like Liz doesnt like the ultra-cynical tone he usually has and some of his views ( unions etc ) . But Indie is no longer the station it was when it started. Enjoy what you can while it is here; like Complete Control and Watusi Rodeo ( Hacienda Brothers on next Sunday, kids although you wouldnt know that from the web site)

Hi Stuart, I figured out how to make my email addy good for me blog. ;o) I may be a luddite but I figured it all out myself. I posted about Stacey, Liz, etc. Yeah, what is up with comments about people calling but never saying them. And you know I used to love how outraged Liz would get over some of the things Dickie would say. I mostly listen to MBE on KCRW. Alot of stuff I hear there I hear on Indie weeks or months later. I love Shovel but I agree with you about Indie. It's all commercials and TK just makes me sick these days. I can't even listen to his tone. Will success spoil Rock Hunter? It already has. I agree about the shows. I love my Christian B and Passport when I can hear them. I hope Jonesy goes to satellite, at this point.
