I would have paid good money to see a Prince vs Kravitz pool or ping pong game.
Indie 103.1 had a special release of Prince songs in 2008 .
I need to dig out my good recording of the show rather than the one i posted years ago.
Worth also noting Mark's story : When Indie was shut down Prince offered to hold a concert to raise money...not the indie bands and rockers who had been played but Prince. He stepped up.
Tuesday 12th April: The Darkness
Wednesday 13th April: Nikki Sixx + James Michael
Thursday 14th April: Joe Bonamassa

I think the person who keeps winning the #KLOSrockintweetoftheweek is the person who managed to get the indie103.1 message boards shut down all those years ago. :)

Bit of a strange show only about 10 minutes of show from today. All that effort to come in and really nothing about the two interesting shows they went to last night
Dawn Girocco, who's the general manager at KLOS, used to be the gm when I was doing Indie [103], and then Indie collapsed. Then she got another gig over at KROQ and got me over there, but they gave me a Sunday night and it didn't really do anything. She's the one who makes it happen. She believes in me and understands what Jonesy's Jukebox is and how important it is to any kind of non-robotic radio. "
All arranged before Bowie's passing and was meant to be about Lemmy but...
Retelling of Steves story re nicking Ziggys mics, might be first time he has said he sold them to Bernie Rhodes.

I will try to dig out my full bit rate copies of all Lemmys appearances on the old Indie show and post them.
( For some reason put some low bit rate versions on box in 2014 here ) .
I will upload the better versions of the complete shows sometime
Always remember, him and Jim made it in to the station the day was closed so he could have been the last guest.
Appropriately here they are singing "Ready,Steady,Go " from that 2005 show
It is so good to hear The Sensational Alex Harvey Band on Los Angeles Radio .
